Laura Macias

Native of Palma, artistic director Laura Macias completed her dance training at the Rambert Ballet School and the Royal Ballet School in London. She began her career with Ballet Clasico de Madrid before moving to Germany where she remained for 9 years dancing in a number of state theatres including Lübeck, Flensburg, Kaiserslautern, Aachen and Schwerin. Laura is a founding member of Pasodos and has created many full length productions for the company over the past 14 years to high critical acclaim including: Romeo & Juliet, 7 Deadly Sins, Islas and El Mal Amor. BaRockBallet, The Little Prince, Around the World and Tango Woman Ballet. From 2013 until 2016 Laura directed the Ballet Season in Teatro  Principal de Palma choreographing full length Ballets, Ballet Galas and the Ballet in several Operas.

Gavin De Paor studied ballet at the Perm State Choreographic Institute in Russia. He began dancing at the Chelyabinsk Theatre and toured with Moscow City Ballet. He is a founding member of Ballet Ireland, the national ballet company of Ireland where he was born. Gavin has danced soloist and principal roles in all of the major classical ballets and has created many full length productions for Pasodos including: The Nutcracker, Tarzan & Jane and El Mal Amor. In 2014 Gavin premiered several full length ballets and Ballet Galas such as Don Quixote as part of the Ballet season between 2013 and 2016 for Teatro Principal de Palma. Gavin is regisseur in all the Ballets created by Pasodos Dance Company. He's the head Ballet teacher in Palma Dance Center and guest teacher for the Conservatoire of the Balearic Islands.

Judit Jiménez

Teacher: Ballet & Pre-ballet.

Born in Palma de Mallorca Judit completed her dance education at the Conservatoire of Musica and Dance in Palma de Mallorca. She has over 10 years experience teaching, as well as choreographic work for exhibitions, video clips and dance photography. Desde hace 10 años doy clases de danza  para niños compaginándolo con trabajos de dirección de coreografía y performance en videoclips, exhibiciones de arte y fotografía. Judit created the short film "Pedis Possessio" which was presented at the MUTEK Creative Festival in Montreal, later presented at the Atlàntida Film Festival and on made available on FILMIN. She also produced the "Atemporal" videoclip for Lucrecia Dalt and performed pieces as part of the live art composition by Marta Armengol "My shame in soft" shown at the Feria Maison & Objet de París.

GUEST TEACHER: Classical Ballet

Mar began dancing at 7 years of age at the Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Palma De Mallorca where she graduated with a professional diploma in dance. When she was 12 Mar took class at the School of American Ballet (SAB) where she developed her Balanchine technique. When she was 15 Mar received a scholarship to study at the English National Ballet School in London and during her final year of study there she had the opportunity to perform with the Birmingham Royal Ballet and the English National Ballet Company. Mar then embarked upon her professional career as a dancer with English National Ballet before moving to Warsaw, where she currently lives and dances with the Polish National Ballet.

GUEST TEACHER: Classical Ballet

Born in Mallorca, Xisca began her training at the Conservatory of Music and Dance in Palma de Mallorca. In Madrid she continued her education at the Royal Conservatory Mariemma. At the age of 14 she joined  the Vienna Opera Ballet School to continue her studies. Xisca completed her training at Carmina Ocaña (Madrid), the Het National Ballet Academy in Amsterdam and at Pasodos - Palma Dance Center. She began her professional career in Berlin at the Deutsche Oper Theater. As guest soloist with Ballet Blanc Berlin, Xisca expanded her classical repertoire in ballets such as Giselle, Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker. In 2019 she joined Friedrichstadt Palast Theater in Berlin where she dancing in ballets by choreographers such as Ohad Naharin and Alexadra Georgieva. In 2022 she joined the Bulgarian State Theater under Serguei Bobrov’s leadership where she is currently a soloist. Her repertoire includes Coppélia, Libertango, Giselle, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker and Romeo and Juliet amongst others.

Emma Ibañez

GUEST TEACHER: Contemporary Dance

A student of the BaTanz programme at HfMDK in Frankfurt, Emma's studies focused on ballet, contemporary, improvisation techniques, contact improv and somatic practices. Previously formation she was part of the apprentice programme from Pasodos – Palma Dance Center and also danced and created a number of independent choreographies for the company between 2014 and 2020. Emma has worked under international choreographers such as Dieter Heitkamp, Regina van Berkel, Lucyna Zwolinska, Gabriel Galíndez, Zaida Ballesteros, Eva Baumann, Norbert Pape, Jean-Hugues Assohoto, Kristina Veit and Victoria Söntgen. She participated as a soloist in SchauFenster 2.0 with Co-Op Dance Company. Emma's interest in dance education and mental health drives her classes which constantly question ingrained tradition and strive for an inclusive evolution of the dance education field.

GUEST TEACHER: Classical Ballet & Contemporary Dance

Mar Bestard began her dance education at the Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Palma De Mallorca where she graduated with a professional diploma in dance. In 2018 she entered the Apprenticeship Program at Pasodos – Palma Dance Center where she continued to refine her classical technique and truely discovered her love for contemporary dance and jazz. Mar toured Spain with Pasodos Dance Company productions such as Tango Woman Ballet, BaRock Ballet y Beethoven Ballet. In 2021 she lives in New York where she received a full scholarship to attend The Ailey School specialising in Horton and Graham techniques as well as developing her Jazz, and Hip Hop including courses with the Complexions Academy y Steps on Broadway.

Jose Lis received his dance education at the Conservatoire of Dance in Valencia where he received the Honorable Mention of Merit. Currently he is director of the EntreTantos Dance Company and creator of works such as "Refugios Habitados" and "Trastámara". He is the assistant director at the Festival Circuito Bucles.

Jose Lis has worked with reknowned choreographers such as Gustavo Ramírez, Carmela Garcia, Asun Noales, Marcos Morau, and Francesco Curci, amongst others.
